Do wicca spells and magic work?

Author: admin  /  Category: Wicca spells

I was wondering if people believe that spells and magic really work.

yes.

After nearly two decades of experience. I absolutely believe that spells/magic really work. Of course, it’s true that you need to be very careful to define your intent properly, or else it may work in an unexpected way.

It is also true that occasionally a spell will not work, generally due to one of a few reasons. (1)Inexperience on the part of the spell caster – improper direction of energy, poor job at defining intent, etc (2) The spell has been cast in an improper magickal environment. For example, you can likely hit a target with a ball from 10 feet away, however, hitting the same target in a blizzard reduces your chances significantly. The blizzard doesn’t mean it can’t be done, just that it’s not likely to be done in that environment. What do I mean by "improper magickal environment?" one that contains a good deal of energies that will work against you (such as detrimental astrological influences, activating a spell in an area with too much discordant energy around, etc)

Many Blessings,
Mercale

Yes, some of them do, but only if the person manages to tap into a spiritual source of power. The question is, is it your power or some other beings? If it is some other being is that being God? No, because God is against witchcraft, therefore the spiritual being must be evil.

Yes, they work, but they are not from God. If they are not from God, guess what? They are from "the other dark meat" and they are not good for you. This should sum it all up for you. It is up to you to reject or accept the truth.

    Magic/Sorcery

    Leviticus 19: 26

"YOU must eat nothing along with blood. YOU must not look for omens, and YOU must not practice magic".

    Deuteronomy 18: 9 – 13

There should not be found in you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, anyone who employs divination, a practicer of magic or anyone who looks for omens or a sorcerer, or one who binds others with a spell or anyone who consults a spirit medium or a professional foreteller of events or anyone who inquires of the dead. For everybody doing these things is something detestable to Jehovah, and on account of these detestable things Jehovah your God is driving them away from before you. You should prove yourself faultless with Jehovah your God.

    Acts 18: 18 – 19

And many of those who had become believers would come and confess and report their practices openly. Indeed, quite a number of those who practiced magical arts brought their books together and burned them up before everybody. And they calculated together the prices of them and found them worth fifty thousand pieces of silver.

Only to the extent that people can be influenced by their own thoughts and emotions. For example, someone curses me to my face and I have a strong belief in curses, so I am influenced by the fear that I have been cursed and it becomes a reality for me. Anything bad that happens, is because of that curse. I start to only see the bad things and the curse become my reality. Otherwise, no, they have no effect and for one who knows they are truly deceptions, they are meaningless babblings.

Absolutely. It’s all about power from natural energy and intent; i.e.,the earth, the universe; you know, little things like that. If it’s meant to be and if the prati- tioner’s intent is genuine, it does work. (like prayer in Christianity) It isn’t about Satan and it isn’t evil or anti-God or anti-Christian. Paganism existed BEFORE Christianity or the Bible. Centuries before, in fact. Satan is a by-product of Christianity, thus, could NOT be part of Wicca. Some of you would do well to know what you’re talking about before you talk. The God of Christianity Himself said “I am a jelous God; Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.” We know He exists as well as all other Gods and Godesses. We just realize He’s very arrogant. He has an awful lot of people “believing” He is THE God, the only true one because if you don’t believe this YOU’LL BE SORRY!!!! So people believe it because they’re scared into believing it. I cannot respect anyone who bullies me into anything.
I’m 50 years old and a mom of five and grandmother of 5, almost 6! I’ve been a practicing Wiccan for many years. I perform magic and cast spells almost daily. If it wasn’t real and didn’t produce the desired results why would I continue?
We are natually afraid of that which we do not understand (which is exactly why most Christians believe in their God). Ignorance breeds fear. For Wiccans, that fear was the direct intent of Christianity when there were still Pagans who refused to accept Christianity and the church decided that those who wouldn’t be swayed would be villified and subsequently burned at the stake.
The fact is, we were here first. We were here for many genrations before Jesus Christ. We’re not leaving. We would never presume to suggest that you not be allowed to practice your religion. If you choose to feel threatened by us then I suggest you say a prayer. lol But while you’re at it close your Zippos; We have constitutional rights!
